Shareholding to end class war: Abbott
Workplace Relations Minister TONY ABBOTT says the federal government will go to the
election with ways to end class warfare by increasing shop floor shareholding.
He told a Tasmanian Liberal Party lunch in Launceston today that in order to end old
antagonisms between bosses and workers it was important to have more stakeholders in society.
Mr ABBOTT says the government will take measures to the election to broaden and deepen
shareholding by workers in their businesses.
He says such share-owning on the shop floor will fundamentally change the culture of
the workplace and give every worker a genuine sense of partnership in their business.
